The Catholic Schools Opportunity Fund (formerly the Tax Credit Scholarship program ) is a 501 (c)3 created under the Oklahoma Equal Opportunity Education Scholarship Act, and awards scholarships to students whose families might not otherwise be able to afford Catholic school tuition.
Gifts made to the CSOF program qualify for Oklahoma state income tax credits based on tax filing status.
A two-year pledge provides the donor with a 75% Oklahoma state tax credit. The maximum credit each year is $2,000 for couples filing jointly, $1,000 for individual filers and $100,000 for qualified business entities.
A one-year pledge provides the donor with a 50% Oklahoma state tax credit.
Donors can make a gift at any amount that fits their financial circumstances, and they can designate their gift to a school of their choice.
This program:
* Allows you to direct your taxes where you want them to go.
* Provides financial assistance to low-income families.
* Helps the 18 Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, particularly those most in need.
The samples below are examples based on the maximum state tax credits. A gift or pledge may be made at any level that fits your circumstances.
